Our Mission
Silver Pride Circle provides a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ aging individuals in our community. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life and overall well-being of LGBTQ+ persons over 50 by promoting social cohesion, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of dignity and empowerment while actively contributing to the betterment of our broader community.
Social Events
Silver Pride Circle provides regular opportunities for our members to get to know other LGBTQ+ individuals in our community. In addition to our weekly walks at area parks, we hold monthly social gatherings at LGBTQ+-friendly businesses and specialty events such as our chili cook-off, Gay Picnic, and holiday party.
Service
Silver Pride Circle gives back to the community by volunteering at the local Food Bank, playing Secret Santa at a local domestic violence prevention agency, and participating in a variety of volunteer activities that are brought to us by local nonprofit organizations. Our members serve in key governmental and nonprofit organizations that serve our community.
Education
Silver Pride Circle works in coalition with other governmental and nonprofit organizations to provide education and advocacy on key issues that affect the quality of life for LGBTQ+ individuals in our community.
